I have ordered a credit card on my account for my son as he has a university trip to Japan, it has arrived and they have spelt his name wrong, he is called Alfred and it has arrived as "Alfird", obviously this is my fault according to my wife because I cant spell and told it them wrong on the phone, despite me managing for 18 years just fine...

Anyway, is there any reason he cant use it ?

I cant remember anyone ever checking with mine as long as the payment went through and my pin worked, she says he will have to take mine which sounds daft as that is then a different name completely and not his card, the CC company said there is no law against anyone using someone elses card as long as they have permission but anyway, can anyone see a reason why he cant take this one ? then get it changed when he gets back, cant imagine the Japanese are goign to be that well up on English name spellings anyway.
