Multi-car & &Road Tax !?

Just curious, as 5th car just arrived, and whilst I love the multi-car Aviva policy....Road Tax is nightmare.

As 2-3 are really only weekend, sunny, summer toys....if I SORN them for 6 months, is there an efficient way to do it ?

I'm thinking, days UNSORN, if I decided to use for a week, then SORN again....?

Does the Tax logic respect each day (365) or is it an unfair 'start of month' etc.

I do 6 months tax on the summer cars on may 1st and then sorn them and tax the winter cars for 6 months 1st november, The rest are taxed all year

If I want to use mine for the day/weekend I tax it for the year and then SORN it before next month starts to get 11 months refund.

You can't do it on a day by day basis. Whole months only.

Yes, whole calendar months only.

Of course, once they're all 40 years old, that specific problem goes away, leaving space for all sorts of other ones.
