Once a year I check my credit report with Experian and Equifax. It's a subscription service that I join and immediately cancel, because I have no requirement for a monthly report.
Today, not for the first time, I noticed that Equifax has debited my credit card with £7.95.
I called them and they claim to have no record of my cancellation. They did the same thing about 5 years ago.
Now, I am very careful not to subscribe to things I don't want and I made very sure that I cancelled the service immediately. I am fast coming to the conclusion that Equifax is being tricky and not cancelling subscriptions, then hoping that the monthly fee goes unnoticed.
Anyone else had this issue?
