'Gifting' from a joint account.

Would I be correct in assuming that my old Mum a Dad could each 'gift' £3000 from their joint account ……. or is it that from a joint account only £3k can be gifted?
And then from that same joint account can they each 'give' £250 to anybody else that they have not already gifted to?

I keep searching but can't find the answer if they can both 'gift' and 'give' from a joint account …… or if it's the joint account that has a set limit.

Logic dictates it's got to be per individual, not per account.

It's per individual. Each individual can add an additional £3,000 to their gift if they did not make a £3,000 gift last year.
