Hi all,

I'm in the process of sorting out some finances and being self employed my bank is asking for me to supply an SA302 from the HMRC site, god knows how I access/download this??

I've googled but the instructions must be out of date or I'm logging in through a different portal as non of this is relevant (See below).

Log in to your online account.
Follow the link 'tax return options'.
Choose the year from the drop down menu and click the 'Go' button.
Select the 'view return' button.
Follow the link 'view calculation' from the left hand navigation menu.
Follow the link 'view and print your calculation' at the bottom of the page.
Follow the link 'print your full calculation'.

I'm just logging in through this URL - https://www.gov.uk/log-in-register-hmrc-online-ser... which doesn't present me with the above???

Any ideas/help?

Thanks

This is the link I usually send:

https://www.buckleysca.co.uk/news/blog/archive/201...

Last time I checked it was correct.

EDIT* Never mind, it appears you found the same site. I'll have to do my own instructions to replace them.

Officially, HMRC abolished the SA302 in August 2017. They expect people to use their Digital Tax Account to ascertain their tax status for any given year.

The problem is that lenders were using SA302s as proof of income (even though legally, it was never intended to be used in this way and does not prove a person's income in any legal sense) and some lenders still ask for them - even if they don't officially exist any more.
