I've been using those online calculators to work out my take home pay. However, both give out different amounts. Which is the correct one?

Am using the same pension % and student loan option1 on both.

Thanks, I like the layout of that site. The numbers are different again to the other two though.

On thesalarycalculator.co.uk did you select "Auto-enrolment pension" (the default value) or "Employer" - as they are calculated differently.

On salarybot.co.uk it is calculating as a standard employer pension which probably explains the difference.

Moneysavingexpert has always been spot on for me, I think it has alot in common with the listen to taxman one.

I tried this one out the other day, seems quite good, takes into account pension and student loans too.

HMRC also have an app, but it only works out tax and ni without taking into account of any pension you may pay into. I've always found it extremely accurate, but I don't contribute to my pension.

Didn't the app change so that you could only use it with a gateway ID?

Just got my first payslip from my new job. My previous job was over the income tax threshold.

The tax code is correct (1185L) I seemed to have paid student loan and NI but no income tax. I was wondering why I was getting paid much more than what I expected. Anyone know whats going on?
