So were thinking of doing the usual south of France trip this year for our holiday and are looking at booking but potently not paying until we see what the outcome of Brexit is as most bookings will aloow a free cancelation, but the down side is if the pound slides then it will cost more

I have a reasonable amount of savings so I could convert the cost of the holiday into Euros and put on a currency card that I have, but the question to you is this worth it , I have no real idea what’s going to happen but guess the pound might fall and I might be able to insulate myself against a rising holiday cost if I purchased the money at todays rates which I am happy with.

I also guess if I purchased more euros than required I might actually be able to buy back more pounds if the pound falls

Any advise

Cheers

Alan

Hedge your bets and just do the exchange for 50% of the total sum , just in case the opposite happens ie brexit nonsense dissapears pound strengthens against euro

Who knows how these tossers who represent us are going to fk things up in the next few months?

This, having been to Lisbon last month I was surprised that I was only given 1.02 Euro to the pound by the Post Office. Using my card was 1.06 Euro to the pound, but taking the currency transaction into account ment 12.50 Euros cost me £12.89 or 0.97 Euro to the pound.

The airport were offering considerably less that 1 Euro to the pound.
