Hi

Looking at putting some money aside in a s&s ISA (nothing huge just a few hundred a month). As I am with HSBC I decided to start there as having everything in one app makes life simple.

https://www.hsbc.co.uk/investments/isas/hsbc-globa...

I found the above that I liked the look of (the balanced portfolio) this has total costs: 0.47% per annum.

My questions are

1) This doesn't tell me if this includes fees for paying extra funds in as the example is for a set amount, however I can't seem to find mention of it. Does that mean they don't exist?

2) given the minimal amount I am investing, is there anything that is much cheaper that is worth having to manage/set up with a different provider? (It has to be a manager fund, due to my job I can't choose my own shares)

Thanks

How about a Vanguard fund via the Vaguardinvestor platform ? Cheaper overall and ideal for investing smaller amount regularly.

It includes the fund costs and is actually just slightly cheaper than the Vanguard 80:20 LS fund (0.49% in total).

It only has 58% equity exposure though, which I would suggest may be low for someone looking for growth.

Fee wise, if you are happy with a bank product that offers nothing more than index tracking then the fees are very good.

I thought VGLS was 0.15 + 0.22 = 0.37. ?

+ Transaction costs 0.4 = 0.41% ?
