Afternoon all,

Does anyone know of a fund provider who still offers a non-standard investment SIPP? Specifically, looking to buy some land in Ireland with my UK pension fund.

Thanks,

If the land is in Northern Ireland then it is a standard asset. In this case most SIPP providers would take this.

If it is in the Republic of Ireland then it is a non-standard asset. In this case most SIPP providers would not touch it.

Rowanmoor (part of Embark) seem to take everything though, so may be worth exploring for overseas land.

Expect to pay some pretty hefty charges though...

Thanks Julian, they seem a go-er.

No problem and no surprise they will take it either! hehe

I've just noticed you are down the road from me. Let me know if you ever want to catch up to discuss such things (perhaps over a beer!).

I can't help you with your SIPP, but as I own land within my own SIPP it might be worthwhile chatting.

All the best and do knock their charges down (I can help assist you with that online).

Cheers

Julian

Rowanmoor have now insisted on being instructed by an IFA rather than by myself directly. Any suggestions as to an IFA?

Rowanmoor (now part of Embark) are full of all the toxic holdings imaginable.

They literally took anything and everything going.

Send me a PM if you want to chat privately.
