Need to build up ni record - trade on ebay or ?

I have no recent qualifying ni contribs.

I can only do limited work from home.

I have read that as a sole trader, if i make a profit of over 6365, i will pay ni class 2 contribs.

So, do i just need to make a profit of 6365 in a year (could be n 1 sale or 1000 sales), then i willl pay full ni contribs for that year?

Out of interest why do you want to do that? is it just to make sure you get a State pension?

Voluntary counts towards pension.

But not for any contribution based benefit.

That has to be class 1 or 2.

Deteriorating health.
I need to pay ni 2 contribs, or when health very bad my options for state help will be very llmited.
