Income Protection

Hi guys, I have been thinking about forms of income protection and have a few questions....

If I got Accident and Sickness cover from company A and Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover from company B - in the event of me getting a critical illness would both my AS and CI polices pay out, or is there normally some small print that means only one policy will pay out? (I know I can just ring and find out lol)

There are plenty of jobs going in my field at the moment so am really just looking so cover against illness and/or death!

Unless I have missed another useful product?
