Replacement Marriage Certificate

We rarely lose documents, but somehow we've mislaid our marriage certificate. Where to get a replacement?

I've searched online, but have only found gov.uk website that only appears to cover historic ones for those doing family trees etc, and some non-government websites that don't look quite right, and are very expensive.

Next step the church who issued it, but thought would check with PH first in case anyone knows.

You can apply to the registry office where you were married and ask for a copy.
There is a charge, about £25 i think, but it's pretty straight forward. I requested one, when i went through a (typical PH fashion) divorce.

Our county council issues a replacement at £11 a pop. I imagine your local one will do the same:

You can get a copy of any certificate from the General Register Office.
