Needless Credit Checks

What the fk have these guys checked my credit report for?


It got me thinking about needless credit checks companies and organisations carry out. Why do they need a credit check? Too many makes my report worse. Are they not going to allow me a passport if I missed a card payment 6 months ago? No. So why check?

Any pointless checks from you guys?

Yes, and it literally says that it was an identification check there.

Perhaps i need to elaborate. I renewed my passport in May, ive had nothing to do with the passport office since. And couldn't they have used the docs i sent then to check my address instead of leaving a print on my score?

Probably an easy, automated and cheap way of verifying identity.

Would this really be damaging on a credit file?
