Claiming business miles

I’m starting a new job next month and I’ve decided to take an allowance instead of getting a company car.
I will then use it for business.
So what’s the usual process for charging back to the company and claiming back any tax?

You can claim the tax back on mileage up to 45p/mile minus what your employer gives you per mile.

I think it’s called expenses whilst in employment, you can do it online via hmrc.
