The man who has screwed more pensioners than Wayne Rooney with his request for every white collar crook in the UK to rinse out as many pensions as possible, the release of minibonds, P2P lending and the ilk to get invisible bamboo farmers to empty out other savings pools.

The FCA under this leadership has simply released packs of wolves one after the other to rip down and gorge on the finances of UK retail investors.

And he is now the front runner to be the Governer? This is a man who would require 1 to 1 oversight when mopping the floor of a McDonalds, if only to stop him opening the tills and unlocking the front door and putting a big sign up to advertise the free money.

I had the pleasure of a Q&A session with him as deputy where he recognised the habit the regulator gold plating EU regs to the detriment of UK business and that this would stop under his watch.

I contined this pleasure with a future session with him clarifying that the addition to some new EU regs needed to be completed to be compatible with UK culture. But this wasn't gold plating or fiddling. Oh No.

Soon after he promoted to head of the FCA.
