I have a modest loan on a car, currently 0%, which expires this summer.

So I would like to pay down this loan by taking out another one.

The rate available seems to be around 3%, which is good, but I’m finding that I’m not being offered this rate as I have an outstanding loan (well, duh).

Is there trick to getting the competitive rate when refinancing like this?

Could you apply for a 0% credit card and do a balance transfer?

AFAIK you cannot balance transfer to a loan.

You could money transfer to your current account and then pay the loan off.

The headline loan rate only has to be offered to 51% of customers.
