I made a pension contribution of £160k from my limited company into a SIPP during 2017, which also covered the previous 3 years (3 x £40k pa) where i hadn't made any contributions. I satisfied all the tax rules, so no problems there.

I've not made any further contributions from my company since then, but I am now in a position to make another lump sum from my limited company to the same SIPP (£40k for 2018-19 and £40k for 2019-20).

I still satisfy all the tax rules, apart from being unsure if i can make another back-dated pension contribution having already done so in 2017?

I have asked my accountant and rather disappointingly they say they cannot give pension advice, yet it's tax advice i'm after.

I am pleased to confirm that you can.

It's carry forward rather than backdated though biggrin

I assume you are not caught by taper relief for either tax year.

Exactly. There is no limit to the amount of times you can use carry forward.
