Anyone else have one and what am I missing here to allow me to pay into my ISA from my TSB current account?

That seems fairly clear yet the payments bounce back immediately when using my Nationwide account number (e.g. 1234/123456789) as the reference.

Not paid in to it for a while? Probably got a block on it, they'll need you to agree to the current tax year terms before they let you pay in.

I've never paid into it as such. When I opened it I transferred what I had from a TSB ISA and have since squandered so much on cars I can't save for st.

I don't see anything about accepting current tax year terms in the banking app.

How much are you trying to transfer? Banks have differerent individual & overall daily limits for Faster Payments so maybe you're trying to transfer too much in one go. Nationwide have a daily limit of £50k & a single transaction limit of £10k (I realise you're going in the other direction, it's just an example).

A pound just to see if it would work first...

I had the same issue a couple of years ago.
Opened a Nationwide ISA. Tried to pay in a first payment and it rejected.
I went somewhere else to open one instead.
There was plenty of other products around so didn't even bother trying to find out why it didn't work.

I'm pretty sure it'll be a gap year block.

You'll probably need to give them a call, they'll read the declaration out and you can verbally agree to the terms and they'll lift the block. Or sign a form in a branch.

FYI for anyone in the same boat, it's easy to sort.

When viewing your ISA account online you just click the 'other account services' tab to the left then click 'renew ISA'.

Submit the agreement and you're instantly done.
