Numpty H&L question

I'm not generally a numpty, and I'm sure it's just the hangover talking this morning but I'm confused...

I've opened a H&L SS Isa and have put some money in as the opening balance, my dashboard is now showing:

Stock Value = X
Total Cash = -Y
Total Value = Z

I know the total value is X - Y = Z but where do X and Y come from as I cannot see where this is showing on the screen I'm looking at?

Also, on the main S&S ISA Screen it shows total value, how is this value made up as I cannot get to that figure?

It isn't X-Y=Z it is X+Y=Z. The cash value is the amount uninvested. This is added to your stocks to produce Z as the total value of your pot.

Just logged in on another device and the numbers have updated so that it all makes sense - there was a fairly large discrepancy between what I had put in and what was showing on there but it seems to have rectified itself now!

Cash will also show as a delta until it has cleared (assuming you are transferring from a cc/debit card).

Money paid in (by debit card) can be used to buy straight away but it'll show in accounts as "pending" and will temporarily not show in the actual balance.
(Had me quizicle last week.as it took a couple of days to sort itself)

Yes, HL - was on the iPad before and rushing. Seems the debit card was to blame then as it corrected itself... Thanks all
