My mortgage deal is up for renewal, I'm undecided whether to wait for the BoE 6th meeting or just remortgage now. If the BoE decides to reduce the base rate as a negative figure, will this impact the mortgage deals from the banks? at the same time, the current deals could change by then too.

What are other peoples thoughts

I can't see any savings from a rate cut being passed on in better deals. I can't see a rate cut happening just yet either

Rates were cut by 0.65% a few months ago.............barely any impact on pay rates........I wouldn't expect to see any further reduction in pay rates at all, for any reason...........with fixed rates at just over 1% for low LTV's............how low can people expect pay rates to go whilst still making it viable for a lender to give out hundreds of thousands of pounds a day......

I did expect that to be the case, I was just wondering if there was negative interest rates that the banks would offer lower rates to encourage the banks to lend money.

I’ll also need to decide on a three or five year mortgage. I’m thinking three years, as the five year mortgage has a 999 product fee and I can’t envision rates going up much over this time.

Im looking around at the moment. I couldn't; see anything changing really.

What service are you using to find deals?

I thought roboadvisers like Habito would be better than pricing comparison sites but how wrong am I, its the same rates (yet they'll take a cut).

Why would you think that Habito would get better rates?
