Billam PLC Shares

My father was clearing the house and found share certificates for Billiam PLC, from which I can see online they have rebranded as Energiser.
He would like them transferred to his wrap account, but does anyone know if he would have been issued a new share certificate or would the existing one remain valid? If not, what would he have to do to obtain the updated share certificate?
