Hi I have been doing a sharesave with my employer since 1994 and used dividend re-investment plan since.I now find myself with £75k plus pot of shares sat in holding account. If I decide to sell the whole lot at once willl I get hammered on capital gains tax ? The original purchase prices vary every year, so if I am how will it be calculated ? What is the best option ?

No tax if you transfer them into a SiPP, but that might not be what you want to do...

.
I know of several people who had built up substantial share holdings in their employer in that way. They then saw those holdings become virtually worthless within weeks. They turned out to have been RuBbiSh investments!

Don't bank on them! Eggs and baskets, innit?!
