Will mortgage payment holidays be extended again?

As per title.

I remember years ago when Northern Rock collapsed and the government bailed them out.

Would that ever happen with mortgage providers?

My stats might be off but last time I checked less than 5% of the UK was facing financial challenges due to COVID-19.

Nobody was given mortgage holidays during the credit crunch.

I wouldn't expect it to be extended further......

I doubt it very much. And when mortgage providers go bust I understand their loan book is bought from the receivers by another provider.

Some firms are operating a policy of any more than 3mths holiday gets a ding on your credit file.

Wait until furlough stops, that stat will dramatically increase!
