Barclaycard fraud

I had a cashback credit card that stopped in March. I was hunting around for a replacement and the Barclaycard Rewards card was recommended. I applied for one and it turned up a few weeks later with a credit limit of ... £200. I asked them to increase it to something remotely useful but they weren’t interested. A card with a £200 limit is no use so I put it in a drawer having never used it.

Fast forward to last Friday and they sent me a text to say I’d reached my credit limit on the card. I checked and it was still in the drawer where I put it six months ago. I logged in to the online app to find out I’d been living high on the hog with several sub-£45 Deliveroo transactions in London. I logged the fraudulent transactions with Barclaycard and I’m sure they will be cancelled soon. I also pointed out to them that this card had never left the house or been used at all, so the only place the cloner could have got the card details from was Barclaycard themselves. To say they were not interested would be an overstatement. Couldn’t care less. I suppose they will get all the money back from the merchant.

They also assured me that I should not worry, they will send me a new card with a different number. The credit limit? £200.

I'm wondering what sort of reward you could get with that credit limit. A grain of rice perhaps?
