I saw an advert on Facebook (always the best place to get your investment advice) saying rare whiskies have risen in value by 582% in the last decade. This to me doesn't make me want to invest, it makes me thing I've missed the boat.
With house prices at an all time high and stock markets at record levels, what's going to be the next big thing?

Where is nanotechnology at the moment? I don't recall seeing a 'nanotech fund' but I expect someone's done well out of it.- Tons of money will be spent on 5G infrastructure over a long time. This is the beginning.

The problem is that it's all very well to predict the next big thing - not least A Vaccine Which Will Save the World And Make A Fortune - but exactly where to invest to take any advantage of it is another matter.

With Covid, long covid, aging population and the inevitability of another pandemic on the horizon I'm thinking of putting a chunk in a health care fund for at least 5 years. The problem is that it's all very well to predict the next big thing - not least A Vaccine Which Will Save the World And Make A Fortune - but exactly where to invest to take any advantage of it is another matter.
