Hello

Little bit of background....
I’m 62 and the wife is 54. The only income we have is from property......

As I understand it the maximum we are allowed to put in to a private pension is £2880.00. Are we allowed to contribute any previous years contribution ? . ( note ... I already have a very small annuity £146.00 month from a previous personal pension)

We already save in our Isa’s mainly stocks and shares , just thinking of the tax relief as a bonus.

Thanks for any helpful replies. .....
Mark

No, there's no carry forward from previous years if you didn't have any earned income. Anyone earning below the personal allowance threshold can pay in £2880 (grossed up to £3600) as you have indicated.
