I have never seen this before. And it is from HBO so I knew it would be good.
I think it gives alot of insights into just what was going on and shows how there was a bigger picture on the picture the average American had, and even the average senator had.
Maybe explains why this time around (obviously not banking related) that the US government gave stimulus cheques out instead.

The HBO stuff is usually pretty good.
On stimulus. Well it's just another side of the same coin. Moral hazard begets moral hazard. No outcome is positive except the painful one, eventually.
What's interesting to me is that it wasn't that long ago and he's saying "We knew we couldn't ask for a Trillion" when getting it by the senate and some of the other numbers banded around in the video for company bailouts wouldn't raise even an eyebrow now.

Yeah thst hit me as well. Shows how that money went back into the share prices and devalued the dollar. 2008 onwards was a yank stock boom. Remember at that time we had a run on one of our banks. Bradford and bingle wasn't it?How long before a Quadrillion gets mentioned!
