I saw earlier in the year that HMRC lost a case on reclaiming child benefit (link below). As one of those potentially able to benefit from the judgement I'm following this closely. Does anyone have any idea as to what and when the next steps will be here and how best to keep abreast of the situation?

Seems a strange judgement.

Why should people be absolved from repaying child benefit simply because they don't have to file an annual tax return? Is it because of the way the Law is written?

It's not that they should it's about how the law was implemented that was the issue as I understand it.
