Credit Card Refund
Discussion
Think I'll get an answer quicker on here than through the "card" current communication arrangements.
Bought a concert ticket a couple of years ago, concert postponed a couple of times and now cancelled.
Refund promised, just had word that the refund has been processed but since I bought the ticket I've a new card, same company but different number.
Am I likely to get the refund or am I going to have to sit on the phone, in a queue listening to music
Thanks for any guidance

Better off contacting the card issuer directly to explain the situation?
For many cases where a refund is processed for a payment card that has been cancelled/replaced, the funds will be held in an "unallocacted funds" or "general ledger" account.
Oh, thanks for that info. For many cases where a refund is processed for a payment card that has been cancelled/replaced, the funds will be held in an "unallocacted funds" or "general ledger" account.
Was trying to avid the hours of waiting on the phone
Has it been over 7 working days? If so you should look into it. However banks use multiple levels of linkage to identify you. At the top is a Customer Number/ID, under this sits all your products which may include visa, amex, m/c. Under this sits the specific accounts. What should happen is their system finds the link and credits the appropriate account. Id give it a week or so before calling them.
