Dealing with the estate of my late brother who was overseas

My brother passed away last month. He was a Brit, with New Zealand Citizenship living in Australia for over 20 years.
Found the will and have appointed a solicitor in Oz. I have used the UK tells us once service, advised the Oz authorities and NZ authorities.
The bit i cant work out is how to deal with the financial side of wrapping up his estate because the solicitors has explicitly said they wont help with that. I think i need an accountant - but i cant get my head round whether i chose one from the UK, Oz or NZ?
His affairs should be straightforward, but I know that i'm liable if i miss something or forget a step.
I did my late mother's estate myself here in the UK - but I had access to all her paperwork including statements etc - so it was relatively straightforward to suss things out. With my brother, there's no paperwork to speak off and living the other side of the world, I wasn't involved with his affairs - so i have no clue how i ensure I've done as much as i can to work out if he owed any money or to sort his inland revenue in three countries.
I still haven't even got access to his bank to even check the balance - I sent off the forms via airmail on the 10th December signed-for and they haven't arrived yet.
Would a UK accountant deal with all three countries or should i find one on Oz?

If your solicitor won't deal with the financial aspects, get a different one.
Our solicitor dealt with everything in my mother's estate.
Indeed - probably a bit late now because i’ve engaged them and changing now will just cause more delays and hassle. But yes, would of expected a one stop shop.Our solicitor dealt with everything in my mother's estate.
