Missed Direct Debit

My renewal is due tomorrow and the account the payment comes out of only has enough in to cover bills.I logged in on Thursday morning to transfer money,unfortunately they had tried to collect on Weds eve.I phoned up 1st thing yesterday and paid it but I was wondering if any knows whether it will cause me a credit problem down the line?

The agent didn't think there would be a problem because I pay yearly so thererfore don't have a credit agreement with them.

Any advice would be gratefully received,apart from being called a numpty.I already know that.

If you've paid within the payment period, then you should have nothing to worry about. A bounced direct debit doesn't show on a credit report but a missed payment will. Given you've paid, I suspect that you'll be fine
