My Polish mate needs to get 50-60 grand sent here (Scotland). What's the best system to use and what hassles is he likely to encounter?

Over 10k and they will likely have to answer some source of funds questions whichever route they use.

I use Revolut - load it up from one account, do the FX using the app, then transfer to another account.
(I've not done Poland, but it should work just the same)

At a minimum they will get stung on the FX from Zloty to Pounds.....
