What to do with my child trust fund
Discussion
I’m 19 and I have finally located my child trust fund.
It’s £1600. Should I save it in one of the following accounts or just f
k it and put it towards a new car to enjoy myself this summer?
If you think I should save it, where should I put it? I am the holder of the following accounts
Nutmeg smart alpha LISA (maxed for this tax year, but has £15,000)
Hargreaves lansdown s&s isa:
£1,400 worth of Vanguard FTSE World Cap index. Make it £3k worth of shares?
Hargreaves Lansdown cash Isa: empty
Investec Bank 1 yr fixed bond account (5 days left to deposit - sum in there is £14,000 paying at 2.45?% interest)
Chase Bank saver (1.5% interest) - currently only has what I have towards the car so far, around £3,000.
NS&I Premium Bonds
Club Lloyds regular saver (empty at the moment as I just switched to Lloyds today, but can save up to 400 a month)
I also have a significant injury payout coming of at least £6k due to some prick f
king my back up permanently in a crash, I was thinking put it in to Nutmeg or Investec what is the consensus, do you think I should just enjoy the 1600 and save the injury payout instead? For clarity I only have 100 pounds for myself from my monthly paycheck, the rest goes to savings and to my mum (I live at home). I’m not worried about uni expenses next year as I have got a nice scholarship to last me and if anything goes wrong I was thinking i could just withdraw something from Hargreaves anyway?
