Accepting payment through PayPal

I'm selling an air rifle online - Someone has offered to come and collect it next week, however has asked if they can make payment through PayPal while he is here as they'll be paying for it through their credit card.
They've said I'm welcome to see the actual card, their ID and so on.
Are there any risks to this?
I have a PP account, though only use it for occasionally when buying things.
Can they not "recall" the payment etc once they've left?
Does the money go into my Paypal account, or straight to my bank?
Any help is much appreciated.

I always accept PayPal when someone comes to my house to buy something. Cash is nigh-on useless to me. I also like to pay for secondhand stuff with PayPal as I usually have money in the PP account.
Before they come I will inform them that I require payment via Paypal 'friends and family' once they have inspected the item, and no one has ever had a problem with this.
When they pay by friends and family, there are no fees, and the transaction cannot be reversed, disputed, refunded. It is just 'cash' from one person to another, with no mention of goods. They cannot suddenly claim a refund or anything.
When they send it, it appears instantly on my PayPal account, and pops up on my phone. No one has to wait around for anything.
It works just fine.

As far as I'm aware, you can send cash to 'friends and family' from your bank account and PayPal balance for free, but you can also send money from your debit card or credit card, however I understand this incurs a small fee for the person sending the money.Paypal do not recommend sending money by friends and family when buying goods, as it means that you have no buyer protection, but ironically thats what makes it ideal for selling used stuff to people
