What to do with £195,707,000.00?

Good to see the largest ever jackpot of £195,707,000.00 has been won and again by someone in the UK. Their claim is being processed and I wonder will they go public.

Going by previous comments on the other £184m thread most of us wouldn't.

Rather than debate that again...as per title, what would you do? I know you get a panel of advisors to help but have you your own ideas?

After gifting some to a few worthy people I hypothetically had ideas around business development, property, car collection, farming etc.

I don't want to become a miserable git in a mansion fearing and loathing I want to enjoy it and make it work for me. Travelling would be high on list but I'd need something to work at and motivate me too.

Well, apart from the obvious ones, travel, many houses around the globe, cars, changing other peoples lives too... I would probably start my career in racing, ideally historical racing in Group C Leman cars. That should fill in the gaps and give me a sense of purpose.

Pay someone to do the school run.

Have 2 x Big Mac meals in a row.

I'd buy our local pub and turn it from the drab place it is now into something rather special for the whole village to enjoy. I'd still run it as a going concern but being able to throw say £10m at it prior to re-opening would make it somewhat easier I suspect.

Often thought about this although I never do the Lottery. I reckon £10/15 million is all I need. Living on the Isle of Wight the REST would be invested in the local economy. I reckon it could make a real difference in a place like this. Affordable housing, start up business, expansion of exiting business and education in skills.

I'd want to give most of it to support various needs - human and animals. The big pleasure would be doing my own investigations into the various alternatives to ensure that funds definitely went to the right places.

One things for sure, I'd have a better handicap then I do now. Nice house, a few nice cars, a small to medium boat, big enough for family and friends yet small enough I could helm.

Travel the world watching numerous sporting events and quaffing only the finest of single malts.

Buy my wife’s late fathers Triumph stag from its current owner and have it fully restored.

That’s it really no big ticket indulgences…the wife will certainly take care of those

Go through as many local papers as possible where there are children needing specialist treatment to save their lives and just pay it and all travel etc. would definitely help pay off friends and family’s mortgages so they didn’t have to work so hard and could spend more time with their families. Start a business based around employing people who needed a leg up and set the model up so they profit share and own a piece of something. Buy some nice cars and holidays!

For me, doing anything would just be done with ease. No more sitting in standard class on anything. Going away wouldn't be stuck in airport queues for hours on end. Turn up, and away we go.

Day to day and living my life apart from not working, not much would change. Kids still need to be dropped off to school, I wouldn't overnight start paying people to look after and ferry my kids about just because I have more money. And then they finish at 3/4:00 so don't have a massive window to get stuff done.

I wouldn't move too far away as would still like to be close to my friends and family. I'm not uprooting and them not having a part of our lives, I'd be miserable as st so it would just be a lovely house Dorridge/Lapworth way and be done with it. I would still be drinking in 'spoons as thats where we drink, i'm not changing my friends and I wouldn't want to. A few would get sorted out but not loads.

Holidays would just be easier but again, I wouldn't like to be gone too long as my life is here. Can't pay for everyone to retire and move to Spain or wherever with me but everything would just done with ease.

Sounds boring af as I type it out but after the initial madness splurge i'm sure the hype goes and you just live a normal life again. You could live off the interest alone once you'd spent the initial on cars/houses/sorting people out .

The hardest bit would still be trying to instil a good work ethic into the kids. I wouldn't want them growing up thinking this is a normal life and they just have money forever so maybe I would get into/start a business of something they like doing for them to carry on/pursue after I pass out from all the coke and hookers.

I hear you about the needing to keep it real for the kids and instill a work and appreciation ethic into them. Thankfully I've no kids, never married so have more flexibility that way.

My partner lives nearby but we have our own places and like our own space. Means that we look forward to seeing each other and doing things together.

I'd like something like an estate with pathways and woodland to walk about, sit, contemplate and walk dogs in. I'd upgrade partner's to something of their dreams and it would be in his name.

I'd start and have an active role in running a charity...... So much you could give back without noticing it really.....

I would want to make a difference with Climate Change, particularly Carbon Removal Would look into startups with a good idea that needs money and get involved, would give me a project. Use a few million for fun, cars, holidays etc. Rest would be invested in long term mostly climate related investments.

I'd love to follow F1 (or a race series) around the world, staying local to each track the week before to soak it all up.

After that, I'd get some nice cars and tour the world with some mates, making my new collection as I went, buying a variety allowing me to get on tracks around the world in some amazing motors. This of course all being done whilst the new house is being build with the massive car garage to house them all. Upon my return they'll all be there ready to go.

Finally, setup a company that looks after cars and can deliver them worldwide to a track of your choosing with a team to run them for you. I'd be customer #1.

The rest I'd waste.

ETA: Nightmare! You'd want the company ready to go on the car buying adventure. Following you in trailers and carrying the cars.

I'd find a financial advisor and make sure I never have to work again.

I'd buy a large piece of land, and drive my cars around it.

I'd buy any shed that takes my fancy.

Make sure my family are secure and comfortable.

Get a face tattoo, because fk it!
