Another question about avoiding 40% income tax...
Discussion
Hello all, I hope this is a simple question for the gurus here.
I'm 58, taking a DB pension and still working. I'm getting perillously close to having to pay 40% tax on some income. Can I use a SIPP to offload some earnings each year, and then take the money out in future when my income will be lower?
I have no other taxable income, my savings are in Premium Bonds and an HL ISA.
Of course, this might be far more complex than I am assuming, if the answer is 'talk to a local financial adviser' I am happy to seek one out and pay for their services.
Thanks :-)
