Normally my SW pension balance is shown on my Lloyds Bank "your accounts" page.

Not been shown there for a few days.

Ditto on my Halifax account.

Logged on to SW website and couldn't remember my password. Clicked the link for new password and "We've sent you an email" page comes up but no email. Over the last two days and many attempts.

Before I call them and endure an interminable wait on the line, just wondered if someone knew the score.

Thanks.

I think they're doing an update of some sort. When I try to login it says I'll be able to access from 23/08.

I can see my SW from my Lloyds App and website. I wonder if it's in blocks of users.

Thanks chaps, I'll sit on my hands then.

I wonder why no message about this on Lloyds though?

Thanks for posting this. I noticed last week it was not showing on Halifax app, tried the chat-bot message thingy which suggested confirm latest app or provided a tel number. Reinstalled app - no change. Called number - no answer!

Good to know I'm not alone though - plus useful to see from the other poster that it's working for some. Hopefully will resolve at some stage.

I had a long wait. They didnt understand the question or know the answer. Apparantly nothing to do with them and need to ring scottish widows tommorow. Even though its a loyds bank online system.

Chaps,

Tried to log-in to SW directly and stumbled across this page.

Looks like it's all gone tits-up

Nice of them to inform us! Maybe an email??

I tried to log in to my SW account yesterday but my credentials were rejected “password/user id not recognized”. The reset password function claimed it would send me an email with a link, but it did not.
After a lengthy phone call with a dimwit who had to have everything spelt out letter by letter and who I could not understand because of his heavy Indian accent, the conclusion was I had to re-register for online access. It begs the question as to why SW failed to inform customers they were messing about with their website and this would be necessary.
I re-registered and finally got into a completely revised website which is just as crap as the old one except for one feature. In this one I can see exactly how much I have paid in since the plan started in 2011 – which gave me a shock.
My pension value is £65k LESS than I have paid in. Also, my expression of wish nominees were missing and had to be added back.
What a useless company, but I have no choice as it is my employer’s chosen provider. I could have done better putting my money under the mattress – avoid Scottish Widows at all costs if you can. They should spend their budgets on competent fund managers rather than stupid TV adverts.

Interesting post Dan. Same experience as me.

It's unforgivable that they have failed to communicate with their customers.

Still, not giving a toss about customers is typical of most of the financial industry I suppose.

I'm surprised there's nothing in the press about it though. A week with no access to accounts is something I would have though "newsworthy"

Mine is still showing in my banking app and has been updating this week.

I haven't tried logging in to their own website though.

Checks poster, has a little chuckle at the irony smile

FYI

SW data now back up on Lloyds Bank.

I called SW yesterday (after a hold of 45 minutes) SW lady I spoke to just not bothered.

She said there is a letter in the post to all pension customers.

I moved my pension from SW to IM about 2.5 years ago.

SW didn’t even have a web login for pensions until about 2006 iirc.
Then when it arrived it looked dated.
Then when I left in 2020 it still looked like a 20 year old web1.0 throwback.

The whole setup was a pain in the arse.

They truly are a legacy of the old days of pensions, high fees, highly opaque, no gusto.

Ok their fees were quite ok, but still highly opaque, slow, seemingly disinterested like they were doing you a favour even providing their service.

I think they took two months to transfer my pension too (ok early lock down, but still), and then didn’t close the transfer down properly.

I just don’t get how/why people are still with them.

Even if your employer uses them, can’t you just transfer 90% of the money out each year?

Here we are again!

My pension balance hasn't been updated on my Lloyds accounts page since 26/8/22. Anyone else?

Also, they have managed to delete / lose / forget the details of my sole pension beneficiary in the event of my death!

Sorry to hear the above.

Is anything showing on anyone's Halifax App? There is still no trace of any SW account on my Halifax App.

Update - it's back!
I'll be able to retire one day - although it's looking less healthy than last time I checked, so that day is even further away than it used to be!

They'd probably screw that up as well and fully close your account instead of doing a partial transfer.

I agree it is baffling how anyone is still with them given the alternatives. Maybe because they require you to engage an IFA to move anything out, or attempted to tell me that some years back (which was BS from them).

You missed the cryptic correspondence they send. Half of the stuff is unfathomable even if you work in the industry.
