Impossible to contact conveyancing legal services
Discussion
I am currently remortgaging due to a fix coming to the end of its term.
I started this process 6 months ago, and now my fixed period has ended and the remortgage has not completed, with no completion date in sight.
My new lender uses a conveyancing service that has no way of contacting other than a “customer support” line that cannot assist with anything regarding the case, or provide me with contact details of anyone who can.
Judging by now reading online reviews and even on the legal services LinkedIn. There are hundreds of people in a similar position pouring money into now unfavourable variable rates.
This is now costing me £1000 a month, which is not a figure I can sustain for very long.
I am really not sure what I can do to remedy the situation, will there be any way to get this money back?
Has anyone faced the same or got some clever ways to help resolve the situation?
My mortgage broker cannot contact the legal company as they only have the same access as a member of the public.

Sorry, I appreciate this knowledge is given to you in hindsight, but never use the banks' own conveyancer.
If Legals are 'included' in the mortgage deal, you can ask for a contribution to the use of a proper conveyancer instead.....which often ends up costing you £100-150, but is usually well worth it.
