Evening side hustle?

So I work full time Mon-Fri 9-5, and I’m at a bit of a lost end in the evenings. Is there a way I could make money working a few hours each evening Mon-Thur, ideally from home?

Something that wouldn’t require any particular skills, qualifications or training.

If you can identify a market, buy 100 of something from China and flog it on ebay, a lot of people are keeping themselves in beer money this way.

Or maybe you have some other skill, a person I know proof reads novels, another does translation to/from Persian.

How about some kind of call centre thing? Answer calls about tins of catfood for Whiskas etc.

It will require some learning but easily researched online and that's matched betting. It's not a long term thing as your accounts will get limited but for some tax free beer money it's pretty easy money.

At home, no, but evening shifts at Tesco as a driver are always hard to cover. Decent money about £12 an hour. Just do 2 nights a week. Added bonus you get 10% staff discount.

I literally get asked this every day. My stock answer is “whats your advantage” who do you know who can give you a leg up. Think of all your approachable contacts - what do they do?

Delivery driver - thinking outside the box here (rather than a big delivery firm), perhaps speak to local companies that might do evening deliveries, especially on the run up to Christmas. I'm thinking something like a local brewery, wine warehouse, catering firm, electrical retailer - I'd probably steer clear of take away firms, as you'll end up using your own car and that comes with its own challenges.

Furniture assembly through companies such as Air Tasker and Task Rabbit. Your suggested hourly rate increases as you complete more jobs through their platform and receive reviews, so the £12 or so minimum will quickly rise. Plenty of demand in the evenings and even until very late night.

Just get a part time position for a few nights a week, delivery driver mentioned already. Warehouse work that kind of thing/ unloading lorries gives you the added bonus of being on your feet so perfect if your day job is sitting at a desk

+1 for delivery driver for local restaurant.
10 Years ago I was a delivery driver for local Indian restaurant, I had a 206 van so probably the only driver in town with correct Class III business insurance for the job. I digress, I earnt £7/hr cash in hand plus tips.

I did that 3 nights a week, so would make £80-£120, that cash paid for my fuel commuting to my day job as well as my lunches. Also would get a free curry at the end of the night. It was the richest I ever felt.

I do sometimes think about doing similar for the supermarkets, but 10 years on I earn a proper salary and I have a wife and a dog now so the motivation isn't there.

Don't get me wrong, and extra £500 a month would be lovely, I just don't need it the same way, which links in to the thread in the Lounge about lethargy (or more accurately my priorities now)
