Large currency exchange transaction: any recommendations

Hi folks,

Have a fairly significant (highish 6 figures) currency required soon: Euro to GBP. Source of funds is easily proven and ideally want to be able to transfer from joint account to another joint account. Last time I tried to do something similar the banks were no where at the races so we ended up using Wise but just wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Prioirty is minimising fees while obviously having 100% confidence that our money will land.

I've used Wise for transactions in the tens of thousands. Not the same as high-ish 6 figures though.

You could always call them first to discuss the exchange rate and fees?

Toby at Misano Payments is a member here.
I used him and was very pleased with the rate which is on par with the big names.
Perhaps worthwhile talking to him - he was very helpful when I had queries.

for small "annoying" exchanges we use Wise but for large planned switches (6figures) we use World First where you can agree a % from interbank rate as their fee.
