Admin feel free to move this if it is in the wrong part of the forum.

Hi gents, I’m after a bit of advice.. a bit first world problem but some help would be much appreciated.

Mrs BB has just submitted our OTE’s for the 30 free childcare and they have removed them from February half term due to my earnings. My wages is 70/30 in favour of commission so my wage can vary month to month. I’m on to do 101k with what i have pro rata’d YTD.

I am sure it is down to net income so my pension contributions should be taken off and i will fall under the 100k . Is this correct? And is there a way of showing them this before the end of tax year/p60 arrives?

Let me know if you need any more information.

Cheers
BB

It’s definitely net of pension contributions.

Do they actually use annual amounts or are they projecting an annual amount based on a few months during which you’ve had a big bonus/commission payment?

AFAIK Mrs BB has to submit them every 3 months so yeah it appears the last fee months has tipped me just over.

Would it be me contacting my pension co so get a current year statement and then the 30 free hours guys minus off my gross pay?

I think they generally just ask my wife if I’m going to earn over 100k. Since I left London and my London wage it’s not been a question that troubles me!
