I'm looking for recommendations on forex brokers to transfer euros to GBP a few times a year. Would be great to know which you recommend.
I have transferwise but the spreads and fees seem to be way higher than I paid in the past. Previously I was using xe and a couple of others (whose names I've forgotten).

I normally use Moneycorps for business transactions.

Actually I currently have a load of Euros in cash that I want to change for £ (cash or bank transfer) , if anyone want some at good exchange rate?

I have used Wise (formerly Transferwise) for years - they are excellent and you can fix your rate using their App.

Another frequent user of Wise - easy to use service and have always achieved rates close to spot. I've probably transferred around £250k in the past year (over a number of transactions) without issue, with funds usually in my overseas account on the same day.

I'll be happy to assist, noting that Wise is also preferable to some!

Unless you're moving mega sums in a single transaction Wise (or one of their competitors) is likely to be the best option. Another happy Wise user here.

When I was last transferring back regularly - probably 10-15 years ago, xe.com would give you within 0.2% of the interbank rate and no fee. Now they seem to offer 1% of interbank with no fee.
Conversely wise offers the interbank rate with a 47 euro fee on 10k euros (approx 0.5%).

Do I just have a bad memory - or have the fees/margins changed so significantly over the last few years? I'm surprised that it's changed so much tbh. Wise does look like a better deal at the moment.

Another +1 for Wise here. Thanks to the heads up from the gents on here regarding it. Since moving to Grand Cayman in Jan Wise has been a hell of a lot cheaper to use than CNB who charge $45 a pop for wire transfers.

Do you happen to know what percentage exchange fee they charge on larger amounts?

My Mum used a company called Optimal Currency - based in Aylesbury. They were very good.

I haven't used Revolut, but I get the impression they're very similar.
