Spotted a reoccurring direct debit on my credit card. Just can't work it out what it could be and it's changed name once.
Phoned my CC and they couldn't tell me anymore ? Can't they look at what account it's going into and search on it ?

They've told me to 'check my emails'.....

They must be able to see something more surely ?

It's not a DD on a credit card but a continuous payment authority (CPA).

MSE says the bank should be able to cancel it when requested.

Yeah this, if it were a DD you could ask for the originator ID and search for that, many companies will have one under a different name (my gym for example isn't taken under the name of the gym) but on a CC it'll be a recurring payment.

Try just Googling the name that's on the statement with the amount, you probably won't be the only person asking about it.
