Just had a shock

Text message "you have insufficient funds, you direct debits wont be paid unless...."

Buying a new car and its late being delivered so the previous car finance has been extended (same company), yet they took £8500 out of my bank.

Cue heart attack.

Logged on and fortunately they appear to have recognised their error and have paid it all back in.

Owwww, that wasn't nice.

Sorry, no real point to this thread but sometimes just writing it out is calming smile

I know, that was my first thought.

Doesn't seem to be any fallout, mortgage paid etc.

Time to let it lie.

Can the thread title be changed to "....and put back again" please? Then no-one has to click on it.

10/10 for the clickbait title, you certainly got me (and others by the looks of it). Bit of a non-event though, and certainly not worthy of a thread, sorry.

Though if it had been on payday and not after I had paid for our summer holiday and paid for one of the children's car insurance cockup (£3.5K !) I might not have noticed wink

I’m surprised you’re that close to these types of affairs.

Does your family office not deal with it?

So, a few weeks on, after several phone calls, a letter.

You are now in default on your loan !!!!!!!!!!!

Dealer confirms its all been paid, finance company can 'see' the money,

Why is it so difficult. Come on !!

Check your credit file report and demand the default (will show as an 8) is removed and do not stop bugging them. The majority of mortgage lenders will reject an application if there is an 8 registered in the last 3-6 yrs.
