I have a current account and Mastercard with Lloyds.
A couple of years ago, the credit card was automatically turned into a "cashback" card, when they stopped doing Avios points.

This card is used for all online purchases (I have a Tesco credit card for in-person transactions), and my "cashback" balance is now showing as over £80. I always pay off the card in full every month.

I can find no way of actually using this "cashback" balance, either to go towards paying the bill, or as a credit to my current account.
Lloyds website just says that the amount will be credited to my account within so many days of the redemption transaction, but gives no clue how to make this transaction.

Has anyone managed to use their Lloyds cashback balance? If so, how?

Perhaps it happens automatically. When Capital One gave cashback the amount accumulated was deducted from my balance each December.

Hi, in the app it shows your balance and keeps a tally. It’s applied as a reduction of what you owe I believe but isn’t used to offset a real balance. They have an FAQ part in the app around this. Not sure if they reconcile monthly or annually as a credit….

Doesn't seem to happen automatically, as my £80+ balance would be way more than I'd earn even if I maxxed out the card.

I'll go back through my old statements to see if it's done once a year.

Just gone back through my statements, and Lloyds do indeed credit the cashback balance against the credit card balance on the last working day of December.

Good spot - which you can’t see because they only go back 6 months in the app regards transactions and actually list in January’s PDF statement as the end of December misses their cut off for reconciliation.

On another note, they begin to charge the fee for what was for decades free platinum service and cull all the statement history that was there back to 2002 and also make this a chargeable service!

Also on a related note, has anyone managed to get their Avios / BA points out of the old system?

Yeah, had to view the pdf statements via the website on a PC.

Very odd that they don't seem to mention the automatic annual payment anywhere.
