Trust Deeds England

I hope someone can give initial advice before I spend money.

I am joint owners of a second house with my wife. There is £500.00 left on the mortgage which is just left to maintain the deeds. There is a trust deed in place for a sum of money to my Mother-in-Law. This is payable on sale of house.

However she is now in a hospice. On her death do I need a solicitor to amend the trust deed to the favour of the parties named in her will who is my wife and my wife's brother. I am the executor of the will.

There is no intention to sell the house.
