My son is in the middle of a very acrimonious divorce. His wife is living in the family home with the two children. They both agreed to sell the house so that they could both move on and buy a house each. Since then things have deteriorated she has taken the house off the market and instructed her solicitor to inform him that she wants full ownership of the house. She has since changed all the locks.

Has anyone on here experienced this?

Unless you’re married to your son’s wife, you are not going to lose out financially.

He’s most likely about to get shafted though.

Sorry to hear your son is going through this.

Why would YOU lose you financially? Did you lend him some money to buy the house?

He very likely WILL lose out unfortunately. On the plus side at least his kids have somewhere to live.

That's alright then, let her know and I'm sure she'll change them straight back! smile

He doesn't work as a teacher in a school and she's got together with the PE teacher in the same school?

Is this your son?
