Could anyone point me in the direction of some decent group travel insurance that would cover cancellation in the event of a member of the group not being able to travel owing to cancer-related issues? I know this is unlikely to be cheap (but nothing is these days!)

Specifically, my Mother is undergoing palliative chemotherapy and I've just booked a trip for next June for us all as a family - there are no children in our family, hence most insurers deal with this as 'group' rather than 'family' cover.

I've had one quote for around £1,200 so far on this single trip basis, but wondered whether anyone might know of other insurers I could take a look at? Thank you.

I just bought some group cover from Admiral (Platinum) without any major risk factors and it was really reasonable at circa £120. You could ring Admiral and see what their underwriter thinks of your circumstances.

Good luck.
