Transfer of equity

Hi all,

I need to start the process of transfer of equity. The mortgage is currently in the name of myself and my ex, and it will be transferred to her.

Can anyone who has done this offer advice? Do I need 'permission' from the mortgage provider?

Do I need a solicitor or are the forms reasonably straightforward?

You need to get permission from your mortgage provider. There will likely be an application form on their website that your ex would need to complete, but you'd need to sign.

Ah ok, so I transfer the mortgage into one name first then follow that with actually transferring the deeds?
