Tracing a debtor - trusted firms?

I need to trace a debtor who's done a runner so I can serve legal papers.

There seem to be hundreds of companies out there but many are obvious scams.

Can anyone recommend a trustworthy firm? Do I just get a solicitor instead?

This person was in Edinburgh last I heard of them and probably still is if it makes a difference. Well, there or Greece.
